Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami In Britain For Dec Proposed Investment Summit In the State

As part of its efforts to attract investments, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was in London recently.

CM visit to UK is part of his effort to ensure succuss to the Dec proposed investment summit in Uttarakhand. Chief Minister is leaving no stone unturned to ensure investments come to the hill state.
While addressing the meeting in London, Chief Minister Dhami said taking into account a large turnout, even london is also looking like mini uttarakhand. He said the purpose of his visit to London is to attract investments for the state.

Talking of Uttarakhand, he said uttarkhand which is identified as Devbhumi has been a source of attraction of spiritual seekers. He said the state represents a rich cultural heritage. Chief Minister also appealed them to visit uttarakhand at least once a year.

U’khand Signs Rs 3000 Cr With Poma Group and Usha Breko Ltd

In a major shot in the arm, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami succuded in ensuring Uttarakhand government sign a memorandum of understanding worth ₹2,000 crore with global ropeway construction firm Poma Group and 1000 crore with Usha Breko Ltd. in London.
Uttarakhand’s secretary (industries) Vinay Shankar Pandey signed the MoU in London on behalf of the state government.
Significantly, The Poma Group has worked in Uttarakhand, having been associated with the Auli ropeway in Chamoli district of the state. The company is also also providing technical support in Dehradun-Mussoorie ropeway & Yamunotri ropeway projects.
Chief Minister informed that The Poma Group has expressed its desire to invest in providing technical support for ropeway and establishing a Center of Excellence in many other religious and tourist places including Haridwar.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister also took opportunity to praise Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts towards taking the nation towards new highs in terms of progress. “India today is becoming a vishwaguru and the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan 3 amply reflects that”, Chief minister Dhami pointed out.
Secretary to the CM Dr R Meenakshi Sundaram, secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey and Director General Industries Rohit Meena were prominent present on the ocassion.
Earlier, non resident Uttarakhandis gave a presentation of Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari dance numbers.

It is noteworthy that a delegation from Uttarakhand led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is on a five day visit to Britain from Sept 25. The visit is aimed to invite industrialists to Investment Summit proposed to be held in state capital Dehradun in December.

The delegation is visiting the cities of London and Birmingham. Uttarakhand CM is holding meetings with those engaged in tourism, healthcare, education, food processing sectors.
